After breakfast, we will start our journey from Bukhara to Gijduvan, where we will visit the Gijduvan Ceramic Museum and the Narzullaev Ceramic Workshop. These places are famous for their unique handmade ceramics and represent the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Next, we will continue our journey to Nurata, an ancient oasis now known as Nurata City, located between Bukhara and Samarkand. The city was conquered by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC and became a fortified town in his empire. We will explore the ruins of the ancient walls. The name “Nur Ata” means “Father of the Ray” and the city is home to the holy spring Chashma, along with a mosque and other historical monuments. After the excursion, we will have lunch at a local chaykhana (tea house).
In the afternoon, we will head to the Yurt Camp where you can enjoy a camel ride in the evening (10-15 minutes complimentary, additional time available at extra cost). Watch the mesmerizing sunset over the dunes and enjoy folk music by the campfire under the stars.
After breakfast, we will depart from the Yurt Camp and head towards Aydarkul Lake, located in the heart of the desert. Here, you can enjoy swimming, hiking, or simply relax by the tranquil waters of the lake. After spending time at the lake, we will continue our journey towards Samarkand. Along the way, we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and take in the peaceful surroundings of the desert. We will arrive in Samarkand by the evening, where the tour will come to an end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the desert adventure.
