At 09:00, your guide will meet you at your Samarkand hotel. Then you'll travel from Samarkand to Aksay village (40 kilometres, 1 hour). Arrive to the mountain's base (980m above sea level), where there are two routes to the summit: 1303 stairs or a horse road. Walking up the steps takes longer, thus it is preferable to choose the latter and travel to the top on horses or donkeys. After riding a horse for half an hour, you will arrive at the mosque and viewing platform (at a height of 1280m), which offers an excellent panoramic view of the Samarkand valley.
After visiting the mosque and enjoying the breathtaking views, you will descend (200 stairs) to Hazrat Daud Cave. There, you will be able to admire the scenery of the cave and stroll through the tunnel till you reach Hazrat Daud's fingerprints on his hands and feet. Then, return to the mosque and descend the stairs (1300 steps) into Aksay village. The one-day Hazrat Daud Cave tour will end with a return to Samarkand.
