• Kukeldash Madrasah (XVI century) is a majestic madrasah of the XVI century with an inner courtyard topped with a dome. The building has now been returned for use as an Islamic school.

• Amir Temur Square is a central park with a statue of Amir Temur on horseback and the so–called “Broadway”.  
• Independence Square (Mustakillik) is the former “Red Square”, the main square of Tashkent with a monument to the victims of World War II.
